We are living in an age where scientific rationalization has penetrated to the inmost recesses of human existence, the price for it is the demystification of imagination we have as beings. With my work, I try to explore the forgotten world of the unexplained, the unsolved paranormal, of mystic traditions. I want to remind the viewer of the unseen world of spirits and the magic of nature introducing them to a ritualistic process of initiation to the special respect for the universe.

I use insects that are transmutated with holy shapes and magic symbols into spirits. Spirits that, just like insects, are always around us, which we remember when they interact with us. Depicted oversized, otherworldly, and menacing, demanding respect to their existence. The artistic semiology and aesthetics are an immediate reference to the pages of a spell book that the viewer thumbs through at his own pace, participating in the unforced ritual of transformation
